Licensing Information

Carolyn Tapley Advisory Services Ltd (FSP705571) holds a licence issued by the Financial Markets Authority to provide financial advice services.

Nature & Scope of Advice

Carolyn Tapley Advisory Services Ltd provides financial and investment planning advice to clients. Our advisers will look to consider a client’s total financial position, as we build a tailored investment strategy.

Please refer to our website for more details of the services we provide and the types of investments products we will access.

Fees

The first client/adviser consultation is free and there is no obligation to continue.

If you decided to engage, we may charge a planning fee for our time to develop a tailored personal financial plan. We will outline the cost (if any) prior to any work starting. The actual fees charged will depend on the nature and scope of the advice and service that we provide. We will discuss and agree the actual fees with you before we proceed and explain how and when they are payable.

Initial planning fees (if any) are based on an hourly charge. Implementation fees (if any) are charged as a percentage value of the investment contribution, while monitoring & administration fees are based on a percentage charge of that capital under management. Many of these charges may be tax deductible. Your adviser will guide you on this question.

Ultimately, we will monitor and report on your investment portfolio through a Portfolio Service Platform. This structure enables us to hold and report on securities from any major stock exchange. Beyond such platforms, managed investment schemes (like KiwiSaver and/or multi-asset class funds) pay a small part of their management fee to licenced financial advisers - who are then responsible for providing the advice.

Conflicts of Interest and Incentives

We follow an advice process that ensures our recommendations are made on the information you provide and what is best for your stated goals, given your circumstances and the fundamental assessments, audits and peer review throughout the year.

We do not participate in incentives or sales targets. External parties may contribute to incidental training costs or provide occasional entertainment, which is irrelevant to our recommendations.

Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If you have a problem, concern, or complaint about any part of our service, please tell us so that we can try to fix the problem. Alternatively, we have an internal complaints process where you can email carolyn.tapley@broadbase.co.nz If for some reason we cannot resolve the issue, you can contact Financial Services Complaints Limited (FSCL).
